Since 1992, Homeschooling Today® magazine continues to be one of the most respected and popular magazines serving the homeschooling community. We look back at our past with thankfulness to all those who have helped shape the magazine into the quality publication it is today. As we look to the future, we continue to be committed to providing encouragement, exhortation, and support for your homeschooling experience.
Publisher/Owner: Steve Murphy - Steve is the Publisher of Homeschooling Today magazine. He holds a degree in Bible from Cedarville University. For the last decade, Steve has been involved in business sales and management, most recently providing for his growing homeschooling family by starting and running a construction company. He has served as a regional support group board member leading the charge to exhort homeschooling fathers and husbands to assume their God-given duty to be the leaders of their homes, including sanctifying their wives and educating their children. Steve is committed to the discipleship of his eight children, of men of God, and of his wife, Kara.
Editor: Kara Murphy - Steve's chief helper, Kara is mother to eight boys and one girl. A wife, mother, and homemaker, she has also enjoyed providing practical support to homeschooling families through writing. Kara serves as a staff editor for Homeschooling Today magazine. After her first priority of being a loving wife and mother, her passion is encouraging young homeschooling mothers in their journey.
The Murphys live in the shadow of Little Mountain on Five Springs Farm, and are members of Saint Peter Presbyterian Church in Bristol where Steve is an elder.
