In addition, these state organizations host a yearly convention in which new and veteran homeschoolers receive instruction, inspiration, and encouragement from other homeschoolers and professionals. Most conventions have a curriculum fair where you can browse and purchase textbooks, curricula, and other materials. Talking to the vendors can help guide your choices. Typically, conventions are held in the spring. Contact your state organization to find out about yours.
